NaI(TL)Scintillant BG0 Scintillant CsI Scintillant Photomultiplier tube GDB   　　BGO is a new scintillant and it has been more and more widely applied with the features of high stopping power, short scintilla attenuation time, small afterglow, stable chemical performance and strong machinery strength. BGO's scintilla attenuation time is 0.3μs and its strongest radiation wavelength is 480mm which are similiar with those of NaI(TL), so the application of BGO has no special requirement to photomultiplier tube and electronics circuit.Its absorption coefficient to r-ray is 2.5 times the same as that of NaI(TL) since it contains high Z element(Z-83) and has big density(7.13/cm3).
